Dedication to Fitness and Health = Success, Progress, and Growth Toward Becoming One’s Best Self!

Celebrating My Clients - Gayle R.

From Karen:

Gayle began training with me several years ago on the referral of another training client. They were on a corporate board together and are both amazing and accomplished women. Her goals at first were to begin running again, halt or reverse bone loss, and to lose weight. I subtly encouraged her to focus on resistance training and to zone in on her overall health, which she did with consistency even with work and family obligations.

In the first year of us working together, she had a few health setbacks, but she kept moving forward, which for a personal trainer means you get in the game and support your client with everything you’ve got! She is dedicated, disciplined, and genuinely cares about her health, which helped her overcome her health setbacks and move forward into more vibrant health, a lean and toned body, and a stronger self – body, mind, and spirit.

When a client is committed, it makes a trainer’s job feel like a dream! You can establish a rhythm together, get real results, and become a team. Gayle is not only a dream client, but she is someone you would want on your team in all ways. I am so grateful to have her as a client and so lucky to be on her team!

“Karen has a remarkable ability to meet you where you are, while still challenging you to push yourself in a realistic and sustainable way.”

From Gayle:

I’ve been working with Karen for the past three years, and the impact she’s had on my life has gone far beyond what I initially expected. I’m 67 years old, a retired engineer and CEO, and after many years of workplace stress, I reached a point where I knew it was time to put my health first.

When I first started, my goal was simple: to lose weight. Over that time, I’ve lost more than 30 pounds—but what I’ve gained has been even more meaningful. Through Karen’s guidance, I've improved my strength, built muscle, and developed a level of confidence I didn’t have before. Ironically, the real progress came when I stopped focusing on weight loss and started focusing on overall health.

Karen has a remarkable ability to meet you where you are, while still challenging you to push yourself in a realistic and sustainable way. Through my ups and downs, she has been a steady source of encouragement and accountability—without ever making it feel overwhelming. She keeps me on track in a way that is consistently positive and motivating.  And yes—I’m now bench pressing 30-pound dumbbells… something I never would have imagined.

What makes this experience even more unique is that all of our work together has been virtual. We’ve never met in person—our sessions have always been over Zoom—yet the connection Karen creates feels genuinely personal. I truly consider her not just a trainer, but a friend.

Karen’s dedication, encouragement, and ability to understand my needs have made this a truly transformative experience. I’m incredibly grateful for her support and for everything she’s helped me achieve - and I’m just getting started!
