A Shared Commitment to Learning, Health, and Longevity

Celebrating My Clients - Jack Little

From Karen:

I met Jack six years ago, the very week I took my business online at the start of COVID. I had already been training his wife for years, and she encouraged him to join my group sessions when the gyms closed. I instantly liked Jack—we quickly discovered a shared love of learning, and over time I’ve come to think of him as a mentor, a client, and a friend. He brings energy and great conversation to every session, and his dedication to his health and fitness is truly inspiring. At 81, even with health and biomechanical challenges, he continues to show up and put in the work. He really is the best.

“Working with Karen over the past five years has been invaluable.”

From Jack:

I’ve been a client of Karen’s for five years. I’m 81 years old, a former athlete, and a retired MD and orthopedic radiologist with a long history of orthopedic injuries and subsequent surgeries. At this stage of life, the combination of aging, chronic illness, and the lingering effects of past injuries has a way of catching up with you.

It isn’t always easy, and that’s precisely why working with Karen has been so valuable to me. One of the main reasons I sought out Karen, and continue to work with her, is her depth of knowledge. She truly knows her field and is constantly expanding her expertise. There are so many professional designations after her name that it’s easy to lose count, and she continues to add more. Just as important, she shares that knowledge with her clients.

Karen takes the time to explain not only what we’re doing but why we’re doing it, along with the additional habits and practices beyond exercise that can help maintain health and function. Karen is also refreshingly practical. She understands that every client is different and doesn’t try to turn everyone into an Olympic athlete with a one-size-fits-all program. Instead, she tailors her approach to the individual, focusing on what is realistic, sustainable, and beneficial for each person’s circumstances. Finally, Karen is simply a pleasure to work with. She’s approachable, supportive, and genuinely cares about her clients. Over time, she doesn’t just see us as clients but as friends, and that personal connection makes a meaningful difference. I’m grateful to have her guidance and support as I continue to navigate the challenges and rewards of staying active and healthy at this stage of life.
